Believe it or not, New York City FC are now in second place in the Eastern Conference. Well, technically tied for first.
This thanks to their third straight league win, which came in Portland after they defeated the Timbers 2-1 on Sunday night.
David Villa scored the opener, pushing him into a tie atop the MLS goalscoring charts, while Jason Hernandez and Josh Saunders helped shut down a strong Timbers attack.
