We're not even at the halfway point of the season, but New York City FC's home game against the Philadelphia Union on Saturday seemed like a must-win.
Luckily, the players on the field delivered for NYCFC as David Villa, Frank Lampard and Andrea Pirlo all scored in a 3-2 win. It was the first time all three of City's Designated Players scored in the same game.
Another bright spot for Patrick Vieira's team was Jack Harrison, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 SuperDraft. His skill on the ball was evident from the opening whistle and his full-field run and backheel lay-off produced Villa's goal.
