The Montreal Impact were sliding downhill fast as they entered Week 30, slumping to a 1-5-2 record in their previous eight games that left their playoff qualification in doubt.
The Canadian club badly needed results, and that's exactly what they got. Paced by Dominic Oduro and backstopped by Evan Bush and Laurent Ciman, the Impact knocked off San Jose 3-1 at midweek, then snatched a 1-0 road win off Orlando City to push themselves back up the Eastern Conference standings.
The surging Seattle Sounders pulled off a similar feat and have two Team of the Week representatives, as do the East-leading New York Red Bulls.
