New York City FC have taken inspiration from their vibrant home city in designing their 2020 alternate jersey, called ‘The Gotham Kit’.
The front of the shirt is inspired by the iconic architecture of the Brooklyn Bridge, while other details invoke the scenery of New York Harbor.
The jersey will also feature an NYC monogram on the back of the net, flanked on each side by five cables representing each borough in the colors of the city flag.
NYCFC will kick off the MLS regular season on the road in Columbus on Sunday, March 1, but must first negotiate a Concacaf Champions League series (February 20 and Feb. 26) against Costa Rica’s San Carlos.
