Later in the day, MLS newcomers Atlanta United FC and Minnesota United FC will go head-to-head for the first time in the MLS Expansion Draft.
But leading up to the draft, the two expansion clubs enjoyed a bit more early competition — on Twitter.
It started when Minnesota tweeted a photo Monday night of their technical staff preparing for the Expansion Draft:
A little while later, Atlanta responded with a, well, different kind of photo of their own execs:
Atlanta, who have more players on their roster and have approached the offseason differently than their expansion counterparts, will pick first in today's Expansion Draft (though, apparently, they won’t tell Minnesota who they’re taking in advance).
