2019 MLS Regular Season – Week 20
Atlanta United vs. Houston Dynamo
Mercedes-Benz Stadium – Atlanta
July 17 – 7:00 PM ET
STREAMING: MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in US, on DAZN in Canada
After a loss to the Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field Sunday, Atlanta United return to the friendly confines of Mercedes-Benz Stadium Wednesday night to take on a Houston Dynamo side that has won just once away from BBVA Stadium this season.
In Seattle, Atlanta (9-8-3) erased a second-half deficit when Josef Martinez latched onto a Pity Martinez corner kick and powered home the 65th-minute equalizer following a stunning opening goal by Raul Ruidiaz. But Harry Shipp put the Sounders in front for good six minutes later to extend Atlanta's winless streak to three games.
The Dynamo (8-8-3) are coming off their first home loss of the regular season, a 3-1 defeat by Supporters' Shield-leading LAFC Friday night. It was a bright start for the hosts when Romell Quioto scored inside the opening three minutes, but LAFC responded with three unanswered goals — two by Adama Diomande and a late insurance tally by Diego Rossi — as the Dynamo suffered a sixth loss in seven matches overall.
