TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Waived
Atlanta United announced on Sunday they have waived midfielder/defender Chris McCann.
The 31-year-old was one of Atlanta's first signings, joining on a free transfer from Wigan Athletic in July 2016. The versatile Irish player made 45 MLS regular season appearances in two seasons, scoring a goal and two assists, as well as three MLS Cup Playoffs appearances, where he helped the Five Stripes win the 2018 MLS Cup.
Atlanta United will open their competitive slate on Feb. 21 in Concacaf Champions League play against Costa Rican side Herediano.
