AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 26
The latest AT&T MLS Goal of the Week numbers are in, and Bradley Wright-Phillips is running away with it.
The New York Red Bulls forward holds a comfortable lead in the Week 26 race, winning 56.65 percent of the votes so far for his emphatic volley in his team's 3-0 win over rivals D.C. United.
Chicago's Patrick Nyarko is the only other candidate in double digits, with 16.54 percent of the vote, but would need a stunning comeback for his spinning half-volley in a midweek clash with the Red Bulls to overtake Wright-Phillips' effort.
Colorado's Kevin Doyle (9.88 percent) sits in third place, just ahead of New England's Diego Fagundez (9.55 percent), while New York City FC's Andrew Jacobson sits fifth with 7.38 percent of the ballotts cast for for his long-distance effort vs. Columbus Crew SC.
Can Nyarko or the rest of the pack make an improbable late surge? Or does Wright-Phillips have this one wrapped up? Vote now – the winner will be announced on Friday.
Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays. For complete coverage of the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week – including an archive of all of this season’s nominees and winners – click here.
