AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 22
D.C. United put up a historic goal tally last weekend, notching a six-spot in their dramatic home win against Real Salt Lake last Saturday.
Given that sizable output, it’s only appropriate that a D.C. player is leading the charge in the AT&T Goal of the Week voting. United defender Taylor Kemp is well ahead of the pack this week, with his insane volley currently registering 39.24 percent of the vote, nearly 18 percentage points ahead of second-place Vancouver Whitecaps defender Pa Modou Kah.
Montreal Impact playmaker Ignacio Piatti is in third place with 19.53 percent, while New York Red Bulls striker Bradley Wright-Phillips and D.C. midfielder Nick DeLeon round out the voting with 11.66 percent and 7.73 percent, respectively.
Will Kemp take home the top spot? Or will Kah or Piatti make a late charge? Vote now – the winner will be announced on Friday.
Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays. For complete coverage of the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week – including an archive of all of this season’s nominees and winners – click here.
