A Bojan blast from distance captured more than 50 percent of the vote and was the overwhelming winner for AT&T Goal of the Week for Week 19 of the 2020 season.
The Montreal Impact midfielder wriggled free from Wil Trapp and Blaise Matuidi and beat goalkeeper John McCarthy for the opening goal in a 2-1 win over Inter Miami CF Saturday night.
Bojan received 50.56 percent of the vote, well ahead of Columbus Crew midfielder Pedro Santos, who was second in the voting with 17.41 percent for a left-footed first-time strike from just inside the 18-yard box that doubled his team’s lead in 3-1 victory over NYCFC.
Ethan Finlay finished third with 13.06 percent of the vote for his chip inside the far post after latching onto a Jacori Hayes through ball, his second goal of the game in Minnesota United’s 2-2 draw against the Houston Dynamo.
Brian White (12.39 percent) was a close fourth for his turnaround stoppage-time equalizer in the New York Red Bulls 1-1 draw against Orlando City SC and Jeremy Ebobisse was fifth in the voting with 6.58 percent for his eighth goal of the season in the Portland Timbers' 1-1 draw against LAFC.
