Fresh off duty for the US national team at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, Brad Guzan certainly made an impression with several fine stops in his Atlanta United debut, a 1-0 away win in their first-ever meeting against regional foe Orlando City SC.
The best of those, his 39th-minute diving denial of Jose Aja's header, earned him his first MLS Save of the Week plaudits in 2017.
Guzan received 57 percent of the vote, followed by the Portland Timbers' Jake Gleeson with 23 percent. After that came Real Salt Lake's Nick Rimando, the Vancouver Whitecaps' David Ousted and the San Jose Earthquakes' David Bingham.
