CF Montréal have launched their new adidas primary jersey ahead of the 2021 MLS season, their first since announcing an identity change this past January.
The black jersey has the trademark three adidas stripes on the shoulders, as well as blue trim around the color and sleeves. The new CF Montréal logo is embossed over the entire jersey, and there's a DNA band alongside the neck tape, serving as a reminder of the club's history and roots.
"This jersey is a celebration of the uniqueness of our city, our province and our history,” president and CEO Kevin Gilmore said in a release. “We are proud of where we are from and what makes us different. This evolution is part of this feeling and this will to be different and united. All of our former players, the unforgettable moments we lived with our fans and our championships, these are elements that form our DNA which we've incorporated in the new jersey, so that it can be an integral part of what will be worn by our current players set to write the next chapter.”
The primary jersey features the logo of CF Montréal's main partner, BMO Financial Group, via a silver circle. There's also the CFM 2021 crest, highlighting how this is CF Montréal's first jersey under their new colorway.
