How many times have you seen an attacking player chase after an opposing goalkeeper, looking to catch them out, even if the approach looks futile? An event during an MLS game on Friday showed why that hustle pays off sometimes.
In the opening minutes of LAFC's match against the Montreal Impact at Banc of California Stadium, LAFC forward Christian Ramirez made a run towards Montreal goalkeeper Evan Bush, and an attempted clearance out of Montreal's box ended very differently than Bush expected, as the ball pinged off Ramirez and bounced back into the net.
The goal gave LAFC the early lead in the match, just seven minutes in.
