Brace yourselves for this one – David Villa has won the AT&T Goal of the Week award for Week 30.
OK, maybe it's not such a surprise that Villa took home the honors here. His first of his two goals against the Houston Dynamo last Friday won the fan vote against his second goal of the game.
The award-winning goal, also a game-winner as NYCFC won 2-0, saw Villa take a touch toward the endline before firing a shot from a near impossible angle that somehow got around Joe Willis.
Villa's first goal beat his second by 16 percentage points in the final round, taking home 58 percent of the vote. He had previously defeated D.C. United's Lloyd Sam and Columbus Crew SC's Harrison Afful.
