D.C. United are reportedly close to re-signing forward Lucas Rodriguez, per a report from The Washington Post's Steven Goff.
Per the report, there is no word on whether or not Rodriguez, who is primarily a left winger but can play anywhere across the forward line, would return on a loan from Argentina's Estudiantes or on a permanent transfer. He initially joined D.C. on a season long loan from Estudiantes in 2019, after which the club wanted to extend his stay. However, D.C. United were not able to bring him back and he returned to Estudiantes in 2020.
