Not much has gone right for the Colorado Rapids of late, but one thing that was inch perfect was Dillon Serna's recent dipping golazo from distance.
Serna scored an absolute beauty of a goal in last Sunday's 4-2 loss vs. D.C. United, taking a bouncing ball out of the air with an immaculate half-volley the soared over a helpless Bill Hamid. The wondergoal tied the proceedings, but it wasn't enough to spur the Rapids to victory.
What it was enough for was some AT&T Goal of the Week hardware. Serna claimed the honors by a landslide in Week 23, collecting more than 48 percent of the vote. He is the third Colorado player to earn the award after Jose Mari did so in Week 5 and Deshorn Brown in Week 18.
