Former San Jose Earthquakes designated player Vako has joined Ulsan Hyundai in South Korea's K League 1.
The Georgian international is joining the reigning Asian champions, who earned a berth at this month's Club World Cup where they exited to Concacaf Champions League winners Tigres UANL.
It's the latest stop on the globe-trotting career Vako is carving out for himself, having played in his native Georgia, the Netherlands, Poland, and the United States before the move.
Vako spent three and a half seasons with the Earthquakes, joining the club in 2017 as the team's youngest-ever Designated Player. He played 94 games and scored 26 goals for the team before his option was declined at the end of the 2020 season.
