FC Dallas came back from a goal down to defeat Real Salt Lake 2-1 at the Mobile Mini Sun Cup on Wednesday afternoon in Tucson, Ariz.
Sebastian Saucedo opened the scoring for RSL midway through the first half. With midfielder Pablo Ruiz applying pressure in the attacking third and winning the ball, Ruiz found a wide-open Saucedo inside the box. Saucedo easily set up a shot that found the top corner for the lead.
In the second half, Dallas took over, with Jesus Ferreira scoring after a giveaway out of the back from RSL gifted the ball back to Dallas with space to break. Ferreira easily broke into the box and slotted home the equalizer. Santiago Mosquera added a penalty to take the 2-1 lead.
Nick Rimando continued to burnish his reputation in stopping penalties, however, as he blocked Dominique Badji's attempt later in the match.
