History and local roots are at the forefront of the Community Kit, which FC Dallas unveiled Tuesday ahead of the 2021 MLS season.
The powder blue colorway is a nod to the Dallas Tornado, the North American Soccer League (NASL) team founded by the late Lamar Hunt whose family owns and operates FC Dallas. There are also red and blue details, representing the club’s colors, Texas state flag and diverse fan base across the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area.
“The kit itself is youthful, bold and clean,” said FC Dallas president Dan Hunt. “From our commitment to developing Homegrown talent to being Texas’ original MLS team, we’re proud to be doing this in North Texas and even more proud to have fans across the metroplex support our club.”
The Community Kit features the Texas state flag on the back neckline, while the collar features a blue neckband that’s highlighted by a red hem. The LH patch remains on the front left base as a tribute to Lamar Hunt’s legacy in American soccer.
FC Dallas’ new sponsor, Frisco-based MTX Group, appears across the jerseys’ chest in blue text, while AdvoCare is the club’s official sleeve sponsor. Primarily paired with blue shorts and socks, the Community Kit will be used for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
