US men’s national team right back Reggie Cannon was subbed off at halftime following an injury scare late in the first half of FC Dallas’ match against the LA Galaxy Saturday at Toyota Stadium.
Cannon stretched out to intercept a pass and appeared to turn his ankle late in the first half. The 20-year-old was writhing in pain on the field and received treatment, but he walked off under his own power.
He jogged to the fourth official and returned to close out the scoreless first half, jumping to win a headed challenge.
But Cannon was replaced Marquinhos Pedroso for the start of the second half.
