FC Dallas will host FC Bayern Munich II — the U-23 reserve squad for the perennial Bundesliga powerhouses — in the first half of a preseason doubleheader on Saturday. The German squad is in Frisco for a week-long training trip, announced last month, as part of the historic development agreement between the teams.

New Designated Player Bryan Acosta, signed to the team last month, is among an offseason remaking of the squad under new head coach Luchi Gonzalez. The Honduran international adds creative options for an FC Dallas team which returned to the playoffs in 2018 after missing out the year prior. Supporters recently greeted him at the airport upon his arrival.
FC Bayern Munich II
The team is currently top of the table in the 4th-tier Regionalliga Bayern; in the German soccer system, reserve teams can only be promoted to the 3rd-tier Dritta Liga. The youthful squad is coached by Holger Seitz.
