FC Dallas will continue preparations for Preseason presented by Advocare when they host Texas college Houston Baptist University for a Saturday afternoon scrimmage.
FC Dallas
Dallas are coming off their opening preseason scrimmage, a 5-0 win over NTX Rayados on Wednesday. Newcomer Zdenek Ondrasek scored the opening tally for FCD on the day. Santiago Mosquera added a goal from the penalty spot.
“We’re a little raw, solely because it’s only week two and it’s a process,” said midfielder Paxton Pomykal to the team website. “We’re getting to know Luchi as well as he’s getting to know us. We’re starting to realize the philosophy and the style and we’re starting to all become a team and a unit. A lot more to come.”
Houston Baptist Univ.
Houston Baptist have been a preseason scrimmage squad in the past, and are coming off a tough WAC season in 2018, where they finished 10th in the conference.
A notable Huskies product is 2014 MLS SuperDraft pick Kris Tyrpak, who played for Chivas USA and has since gone on to play for several other professional teams in the United States.
