That's one way to make an entrance.
Before Friday, FC Dallas forward Zdenek Ondrasek (better known around MLS as "Cobra") had never made a senior appearance for his Czech Republic national team. The 30-year-old forward finally made his debut as a second-half substitute in the Czech Republic's Euro 2020 qualifying match against mighty England on Friday, and he made sure it was a memorable one, slotting home a dramatic 85th-minute goal to send his country to a shocking 2-1 win over the Lions -- ending England's 43-game unbeaten run in Euro qualifying play with his first-ever international shot on goal.
That's an amazing moment for Cobra, who is coming off a productive first season in MLS with FC Dallas that saw him tally seven goals and a pair of assists in 17 games. FCD will hope he can bring some similar theatrics back to club play, where they'll be taking on the Seattle Sounders in the first round of the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs at CenturyLink Field on Oct. 19 (12:30 ET | Fox Sports TBD in US; TSN in Canada).
