Canada weren't the only ones celebrating on Tuesday as the second round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying came to a close. Ten winners from Round 2 advanced and will be joined by Jamaica and Haiti (the seventh and eighth-ranked teams in CONCACAF, based upon August 2014 FIFA rankings) for the upcoming third round of qualifiers.

The 12 teams in round three will now be paired up into six additional home-and-home series, with the draw to be held as part of FIFA's World Cup Qualifying draw on July 25. Round 3 games are set to take place Aug. 31-Sept. 8.
That draw will also set the groups for Round 4, which will include the six series winners from Round 3, joining the US, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Panama and Trinidad & Tobago to make 12 teams. Those teams will be compete in three groups that begin play on Nov. 7.
The top two from each group advance to Round 5, commonly referred to as "The Hexagonal" – the final round of qualifying in the region. Canada have not reached the final round of CONCACAF qualifying since the cycle leading up to the 1998 World Cup.
