Winston Reid, who spent the 2020 season with Sporting Kansas City, is on the move again, joining Brentford on loan from West Ham United, the club announced Monday.
The 32-year-old center back, who made 10 appearances (eight starts) for SKC, will remain with Championship club through the remainder of the season.
The New Zealand international joined Sporting KC on loan from West Ham on Feb. 14, 2020, There was talk of possibly extending his stay in Kansas City, but he returned to the Hammers at the end of the season. Reid made one appearance in Premier League 2 before his latest loan move.
Reid, who joined West Ham in 2010 and made 223 appearances with the club. has dealt with several injuries over the past few years, stalling his career. His MLS debut against Minnesota United in August was his first competitive senior appearance since March 2018.
