New arrivals Marlon Hairston and Tommy McNamara scored for the Houston Dynamo in a 2-1, come-from-behind victory over their USL affiliate Rio Grande FC on Tuesday morning in a closed-door preseason contest.
Haiston's goal in the 88th minute following a free kick decided it for the MLS outfit, three days after the sides met in a 1-0 friendly also won by the Dynamo. Maalique Foster scored before halftime for RGV.
Of note, Dynamo goalkeeper Tyler Deric played 90 minutes of shutout soccer, starting for RGV in the first half before swapping into the Dynamo goal at halftime. Joe Willis, his counterpart on the Dynamo roster, allowed all three goals in a rough day at the office.
