TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Re-signed
The Houston Dynamo re-signed defender Dylan Remick on Wednesday, the club announced.
Remick joined the Dynamo last offseason after being picked up from the Seattle Sounders in the first round of the Re-Entry Draft. He appeared in 14 regular season games for the Dynamo, starting 13 times and scoring his first career goal.
The 26-year-old helped Houston top the Portland Timbers in the Western Conference Semifinal, scoring the second leg goal that gave the Dynamo their series win at Providence Park.
“Dylan has been a very good addition to our club since joining the Houston Dynamo last year,” said Dynamo VP and GM Matt Jordan. “He played a big part in the team’s success last season, and at just 26 years old, he’s entering the prime of his career and is eager to achieve even more, both personally and for the team. He’s a top professional both on and off the field which is vitally important as we build towards the 2018 season.”
Remick began his pro career when the Seattle Sounders chose him in the second round of the 2014 MLS SuperDraft. He’s appeared in 58 regular season matches and started 45 games in his five-year MLS career.
His re-signing gives Houston 19 players on their current roster.

Since he arrived to the club, he has been competing to earn a starting role in the team,” said head coach Wilmer Cabrera. “He is a strong competitor and a very good professional, and he continues to grow.
