Ignacio Piatti is back ... in training at least.
The Montreal Impact star hasn't featured for the club since March 16 with a knee injury. This season, he only has made three appearances and scored three goals. Yet, the oft-influential Argentine winger appears to be on the mend.
Montreal hasn't missed a beat without their talisman, rising to third place in the Eastern Conference standings, all despite playing just three home games. A re-introduction of Piatti would be most welcomed by head coach Remi Garde, as the 34-year-old has 66goals and 34assists in MLS regular-season action.
The Impact are next in action on Saturday when hosting the New England Revolution (1 pm ET | TVAS in Canada, MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in US).
