FC Cincinnati will go back to their past for a day, when they play former USL Championship Eastern Conference foe Indy Eleven on Tuesday as part of Preseason presented by Advocare.
FC Cincinnati
FC Cincy returned to the midwest after a training camp in Florida, and will set out for Charleston, South Carolina later in the week.
The MLS expansion team continues to work on coming together ahead of the long-awaited competitive debut in the top flight, on March 2 at the Seattle Sounders.
“I think we still have a lot of work to do in terms of how we play,” Cincinnati coach Alan Koch said to the club's website. “We’re pretty much where we thought we’d be at this stage. We’ve still got four games to go from a preparation perspective. To expect to be at a good place after three games with a new group, I think we’d be expecting the stars.”
Indy Eleven
Indy are now managed by former Vancouver head coach Martin Rennie and are coming off a season where they reached the USL Cup Playoffs in their first season in the league. The roster, still a work in progress for the 2019 season, contains several players with MLS experience, including former LA Galaxy and FC Cincinnati midfielder Kenney Walker.
