Goalkeeper Joe Willis has earned more points than he's given away during his fifth season with the Houston Dynamo. The Week 18 match in Cincinnati, however, will be a night he hopes to forget.
With FC Cincinnati already in front, Willis somehow let Victor Ulloa's tame effort role through his legs to put the Dynamo down 3-0 at Nippert Stadium in the 61st minute.
Making matters worse, Houston pulled back a pair of goals late, making Willis's gaffe stand out as the difference in the match, which was Cincinnati's first win in seven matches.
Even with the mistake, Willis has allowed only 25 goals in 18 starts. That's a 1.39 GAA, which would be the best of his career (in a season when he's played regularly) if he can maintain it through the remainder of the year.
