The Seattle Sounders won their second consecutive game to extend their unbeaten streak to five games on Wednesday, with a 2-1 victory over Orlando City at CenturyLink Field, but the win may have come at a price.
Forward Jordan Morris was forced out of the game in the 53rd minute, as he went down a few minutes earlier with an injury. Following a sprint, Morris pulled up, felt his leg and sat down on the field, unable to continue.
After exiting the match, sideline footage from the broadcast showed Morris, who returned this season from a torn ACL after missing the entire 2018 MLS season, looking visibly upset as the game continued. Handwalla Bwana entered the game in Morris' place and scored the eventual winner, in the 68th minute.
Following the game, Sounders head coach Brian Schmetzer told reporters the initial diagnosis for Morris is a hamstring strain.
Seattle have a short turnaround ahead of their next game, as they'll have a road game against the Philadelphia Union on Saturday (7:30 pm ET | MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in US; DAZN in Canada).
