The Costa Rica national team has announced a 23-man roster for a pair of friendlies in the upcoming international window that includes four MLS players.
Kendall Waston (Vancouver Whitecaps), David Guzman (Portland Timbers), Francisco Calvo (Minnesota United) and Rodney Wallace (New York City FC) will all join coach Ronald Gonzalez's squad for a trip to the Far East for matches against South Korea (Sept. 7) and Japan (Sept. 11). All four players were also part of Costa Rica's side that were eliminated in the group stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Waston may not miss any MLS games for the Whitecaps, who are off the entirety of the window. Calvo and Guzman could miss one each for their respective clubs, while Wallace could miss a pair.
