The LA Galaxy have just released their new primary jersey for 2016, and it's all about saluting history--and staking claim on the city.
A few details have been tweaked, but the traditional design elements remain. There are, first, the obvious things--the return of the sash down the front, as well as an updated sponsor logo. Check out the front and the back:

And the internal neck tape visually does so as well:
Finally, there's the crest--with a star update. The single gold star is part of a new star convention on MLS jerseys; this one represents five MLS Cup wins.

The Galaxy will sport this new look on their first home game of the season, Mar. 6 against DC United (10 p.m. ET, UniMas and MLS LIVE).
