LA Galaxy midfielder Efrain Alvarez is one of the biggest prospects in North America and he continued to build his hype on Saturday night.
The 16-year-old scored a hat trick for LA Galaxy II in USL play against Real Monarchs SLC at the StubHub Center Track & Field Center. The hat trick, Alvarez's second of 2018 in USL, helped Los Dos beat Real Salt Lake's USL affiliate 6-1. Watch the three goals below.
The midfielder now has 12 goals in just 1,149 minutes with LA Galaxy II this season. He has yet to appear for the Galaxy first team this season.
The LA native has played with Mexico's Under-17 national team in recent months, after originally playing in the US youth system, but has stated that he's open to switching back to play for the US. He could appear in MLSsoccer.com's 22 Under 22 rankings in the coming weeks.
