And the former LA Galaxy star will most definitely make a return to the pitch – along with a former teammate and fellow MLS legend – in David Beckham’s “Match for Children” at Old Trafford on Nov. 14, a charity game benefiting UNICEF.
Donovan, who retired at the conclusion of the 2014 season, had Galaxy fans who are hoping for his actual return skipping a beat when he tweeted out a photo with Gyasi Zardes from LA’s training grounds.
A Galaxy spokesman confirmed to MLSsoccer.com that Donovan did indeed train with the team Wednesday and would possibly for the remainder of the week.
