With the winter transfer window opening on New Year's Day in England and other European leagues, the Guardian has published its list of Top 10 winter transfer targets, which includes two names familiar to MLS fans.
Atlanta United talisman Miguel Almiron and Seattle Sounders left back Nouhou Tolo are the duo included in the Guardian's rundown, published on the eve of the window opening in England.
It's been one of the offseason's worst-kept secret that Almiron has been in the crosshairs of Premier League clubs, though a recent report suggests Newcastle United's reported pursuit may be over.
Tolo is a more surprising inclusion, given that there has been little transfer chatter about him since the season ended. But as the Guardian notes, the 21-year-old did make Opta's MLS best XI after seeing his role increase substantially in his second MLS season.
