Allianz Field was seventh heaven for Minnesota United FC in Week 17.
The Loons scored seven goals, as they obliterated FC Cincinnati 7-1 in the first MLS regular season matchup between the two clubs. And if you believe in the power of numbers, it was the auspicious seventh occasion in MLS history that a team scored at least seven goals in a game.
While the 1998 LA Galaxy hold the record for most goals scored in a game, with eight, Adrian Heath's group joins the other five teams to have scored at least seven times in a match in league history.
And like 1998, where multiple matches featured a team hitting for seven or more goals, this was the second time this season that a team has notched seven, as Sporting KC beat the Montreal Impact 7-1 on March 30.
