Minnesota United FC will put in some paces in Preseason presented by Advocare with a Saturday afternoon clash against USL Championship outfit Phoenix Rising FC. Following their games in Arizona, Minnesota will have preseason games in Florida coming up later in the month.

The Loons squad has to be the envy of everyone back at home this week, as Minnesota's weather during the polar vortex gripping most of the country has led to conditions that can be described as essentially Antarctic.
Minnesota head coach Adrian Heath says the team is "working on all aspects of our game."
Phoenix Rising
The USL Championship runners-up from 2018, Rising FC will miss the considerable influence of Didier Drogba in 2019, but are likely to be in contention in the league again this season. Under head coach Rick Schantz, this preseason work could also help Phoenix calibrate the level of play for a possible U.S. Open Cup run this season.
