MLS Commissioner Don Garber held a press conference Monday with Atlanta United owner Arthur Blank at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to announce the 2018 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target will be held in Atlanta.

Garber and Blank were joined at the event by Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, Atlanta Sports Council President Dan Corso and other special guests.
Atlanta United finished their inaugural MLS regular season on Sunday, drawing 2-2 with Toronto FC in front of an all-time MLS record crowd of 71,874 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The Five Stripes, who also set the all-time MLS average attendance record this year, finished the 2017 season in fourth-place in the Eastern Conference, becoming just the third expansion team in league history to qualify for the playoffs in their first season in the league.
They’ll host Columbus Crew SC in the Knockout Round of the Audi 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs on Thursday (7 pm ET | ESPN2, UniMás in US; TSN, TVAS in Canada).
