League celebrates one of the ultimate creative expressions of fandom during MLS Jersey Week presented by adidas May 18-24
Fans are put at the helm of the design process as the League offers free, engaging jersey experiences and premium kit content across digital platforms
NEW YORK, N.Y. (Monday, May 18, 2020) – As part of MLS Unites, a league-wide platform designed to educate communities, entertain fans and elevate heroic efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, Major League Soccer will celebrate creativity and fan expression during MLS Jersey Week presented by adidas May 18-24,
The League will offer a unique series of programming as part of MLS Jersey Week presented by adidas that will feature MLS clubs, players, coaches, staff, fans and partners showcasing their team affinity, providing in-depth stories on their favorite kits, putting fans at the helm of customizing their club’s jersey, and more.

To kick off MLS Jersey Week presented by adidas, MLS players and MLS Greats (former players) will share short videos showcasing kits they earned in post-match jersey swaps on Monday, May 18 and throughout the week. Follow #JerseySwapChallenge on @MLS and club social platforms throughout the week for the latest videos.
Best MLS Jersey of All-Time Bracket Contest
Launching Tuesday, May 19, fans will have the opportunity to vote via MLS Twitter to determine the best jersey from the first 25 years of the League’s history. Featuring 32 jerseys, the voting bracket consists of jerseys nominated by each club and wild cards selections by jersey culture influencers, Classic Football Shirts. The winner will be unveiled on Sunday, May 24 on MLSsoccer.com and MLS social platforms.
Digital Fan Jersey Design
On Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, fans will have the opportunity to create their own custom digital club jersey within Instagram Stories and Snapchat. Fans can draw their own jersey features through the digital platforms and use a variety of featured customization options including stripes, patterns, shapes, colors and more. MLS encourages fans to tag @MLS, @adidasfootball and club social platforms to share their designs. Select fan submissions will be featured throughout the weekend on League and club channels.
Fly Kit Friday
Fans are welcome to celebrate their fandom by posting a picture of them sporting their favorite MLS Kit on social media on Friday, May 22 using #FlyKitFriday and tagging @MLS and club social platforms. Select stories will be featured on League and club channels.
MLS Anthem Album Art Contest
Coinciding with this week’s MLS Unites programming, focused on creativity and expression, MLS is giving fans the opportunity to design the album art for MLS’ anthem, which is set to be released on streaming platforms later this year.
Fans may enter the content now through May 24 by submitting their album design by posting on Instagram and Twitter, tagging @MLS, and including the hashtag #MLSArtContest in the post. The winner will have his or her artwork featured across all platforms where the anthem is available and win a trip for two to the 2021 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target.
