The Montreal Impact resume play in the Concacaf Champions League, hosting CD Olimpia in the first leg of the quarterfinals Tuesday night at Stade Olympique.
On the strength of away goals by Orji Okwonkwo and Romell Quioto inside the opening 22 minutes of the first leg, the Impact advanced out of the Round of 16 following a 0-0 draw with Deportivo Saprissa in the second leg at home.
CD Olimpia stunned the Seattle Sounders, rallying from a two-goal home deficit to tie the first leg. They then recovered from a goal down in the second half to level late through Carlos Pineda and advanced on penalty kicks at CenturyLink Field in the Round of 16's second leg.
This is the second time the teams have met in the CCL. They were drawn into the same group in 2008-09, with the Impact winning 2-1 in Honduras before the teams drew 1-1 in Montreal. The Impact advanced to the quarterfinals where they lost to eventual champions Atlante.
