There were two games on day two of the 2019 Copa América on Saturday, and MLS players were involved in the proceedings taking place in Brazil.
The day's matinee game was between Venezuela and Peru in Porto Alegre, with the teams playing to a 0-0 draw in Group A play.
Venezuela goalkeeper Wuilker Fariñez was the star, as he made several impressive stops, and La Vinotinto benefitted from two Peru goals called back following Video Review.
Junior Moreno (D.C. United) and Jefferson Savarino (Real Salt Lake) started for Venezuela before each making way in the second half, while Josef Martinez (Atlanta United) and Rolf Feltscher (LA Galaxy) were unused substitutes.
For Peru, Andy Polo (Portland Timbers) came off the bench in the 67th minute, with Alexander Callens (NYCFC) and Raul Ruidiaz (Seattle Sounders) not involved in the game.
The second game in Saturday's Copa América slate featured Colombia defeating Argentina 2-0 in Salvador, with substitute Roger Martinez unleashing a second-half golazo to open the scoring, before Duvan Zapata notched a late insurance tally.
