In what has already been a busy preseason trip to Spain's Mediterranean coast, the New England Revolution play their third preseason match in four days against Russian Premier League outfit FK Krasnodar.
New England Revolution
The Revs have drawn in each of their previous two times in competitive action this preseason.
Most recently, they played defending Czech league champions Viktoria Plzen to a 2-2 stalemate on Friday, with Cristian Penilla and Brian Wright scoring the goals, while new Designated Player signing Carles Gil provided an assist just two days after he officially joined his new club from La Liga's Deportivo La Coruna.
FK Krasnodar
Like Plzen, Krasnodar are also in the middle of an extended winter break. Their fall-to-spring season resumes in March after a three-month hiatus.
The club, just over a decade old, is locked in a fierce battle for the Russian Premier League title, currently sitting a point back of Zenit St. Petersburg at the midway point. They also have a UEFA Europa League Round of 32 tie approaching against the Bundesliga's Bayer Leverkusen, with the first leg at home on Valentine's Day night.
