Don’t stick your finger in the face of New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner. He doesn’t appreciate it.
Just ask Josef Martinez.
The Atlanta United forward wagged his finger at Turner after a disputed penalty kick shout in the 43rd minute of their Round One playoff match on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where Martinez was convinced he was taken down by Turner. So convinced that he confronted the goalkeeper about it.
Turner didn’t take too well to Josef’s gesture, and he motioned as if here were about to take a bite out of Josef’s index finger.
He didn’t. Referee Kevin Stott’s final decision? No penalty.
