Carlos Vela brings LAFC's high-octane attack to Yankee Stadium to meet an New York City FC team seeking a forward for a Sunday afternoon tilt.
Vela had one goal and three assists as LAFC routed the Portland Timbers at Banc of California Stadium on Sunday. Meanwhile, NYCFC were held scoreless in a draw against D.C. United in their home opener. In the only other meeting between the teams a year ago in Los Angeles, Vela gave the hosts a second-half lead before an Ismael Tajouri-Shradi equalizer capped a thrilling 2-2 draw.
