Euro 2016 may be happening in France, but the BBC will be looking to the USA for some of its tournament coverage.
The international broadcaster on Monday announced plans for New York City FC midfielder Frank Lampard and US national team manager Jurgen Klinsmann to contribute to the BBC's coverage of the quadrennial championship for European nations.
New York City FC confirmed that Lampard, who is working his way back to full fitness from a left calf injury, will be contributing remotely to the BBC's punditry team which will not cause him to miss any NYCFC matches or training sessions.
Another person who could also be involved in video-link analysis is US national team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann. The US Soccer Federation confirmed on Monday afternoon that Klinsmann has told the BBC that he could do some commentary after his Copa America Centenario obligations, depending on the specific match or topic.
The 24-team Euros tournament will be played in France from June 10 to July 10, when reigning champions Spain will look to defend their title. Among the MLS players who are in the running to participate are: Robbie Keane (LA Galaxy), Kevin Doyle (Colorado Rapids), Shekelzen Gashi (Colorado Rapids), Sebastian Giovinco (Toronto FC) and Andrea Pirlo (New York City FC).
