The New York Red Bulls kicked off their slate for Preseason presented by Advocare with a 2-1 win over Swedish club IF Elfsborg on Saturday at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
Daniel Royer scored a brace for the Red Bulls, after Elfsborg went ahead on a penalty kick by Pawel Cibicki. After tying the game, Royer then tallied a penalty of his own to give New York the upper hand on the day.
The Red Bulls kick off their competitive schedule in the 2019 Concacaf Champions League, beginning on Feb. 20 against Club Atlético Pantoja.
