On Wednesday's National Nurses Day, New York Red Bulls head coach Chris Armas penned a heartfelt letter to his wife Justine, who works as a nurse on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Red Bulls shared a video of Armas reading the letter aloud on their website and social media channels, which you can watch in its entirety below.
"You've always been an amazing nurse because you care so much about your patients and you always put them first," Armas wrote. "But it's been incredible, so impressive, to see you nervously leave home, go to work, come home mentally and physically exhausted, all because you worked so hard with compassion, courage and the highest level of commitment to the job and to the people."
