TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Loan expires
Defender Niko Hamalainen has left LAFC and returned to QPR upon the conclusion of his six-month loan, the club announced Monday. Hamalainen initially joined the Supporters' Shield leaders in February.
The 22-year-old Finnish-American fullback made three appearances with LAFC, including one start.
“We would like to thank Niko for his contributions to our Club during the first half of the season, and wish him great success moving forward,” EVP & GM John Thorrington said in a club statement.
Prior to joining LAFC, Hamalainen had been with QPR for four-and-a-half seasons, making a handful of appearances in English Championship and domestic cup play. He also had a stint on loan at lower-league side Dagenham & Redbridge in League Two.
