Orlando City SC rode two first-half goals to their first road win of the 2018 MLS regular season, as they defeated the Philadelphia Union 2-0 at Talen Energy Stadium on Friday.
The Union started in frisky fashion, but after a hot start they couldn't convert their chances, and as the game wore on they became very much the second-best team on the night.
Dom Dwyer got Orlando City on the board in the 38th minute. The Lions had a good period of buildup play down the field, finished off by Dwyer making a run between the lines and beating Andre Blake. Shortly before halftime, rookie Chris Mueller doubled the lead with an impressive run and finish down the middle after pouncing on an errant clearance, and that was all it took to wrap up the win.
